Anchor Yacht Basin provides a fully equipped fuel dock equipped with gas, diesel, pump-out service, as well as ice and boat supplies available at the fuel dock. Bay Boat Works is a marina located in Cecil County, Maryland, which offers a well-protected anchorage that includes 137 boat slips and 32 moorings for sailboats. They also provide summer land storage for trailered boats with ramp access, as well as indoor and outdoor winter storage for up to 300 boats. This marina has been in the family since 1928 and is situated halfway between Baltimore and Philadelphia, making it easily accessible from I-95. In addition, Bay Boat Works received its Maryland Clean Marina certification on April 29th, 2002, becoming the first certified Maryland Clean Marina on the North East River.

We have a well-maintained 50 ton open end travel lift, handling boats up to 65’ and 20’ beams. The service department can satisfy all of your needs, including; gasoline & diesel repairs, generator, air conditioning and outdrive service, and painting, carpentry and boat detailing. In 2017, our former Executive Director, Lynn Handy, was awarded US Sailing's Virginia Long award for her efforts to improve sailing education at the national level. The Downtown Sailing Center programs are available to the entire community. For adults, we offer adult education, recreational sailing open sails, Thursday Night Racing and cruising education. For youth, we offer junior’s camp, outreach programming that includes STEM curricula, literacy education, and Sailing Instructor Certification. For persons with disabilities we offer "Access-ability Saturdays," racing education and group outings. The DSC’s many sailing programs include junior day camps, sailing programs for disadvantaged youth and persons with disabilities, adult lessons, recreational sailing, corporate outings and team building, racing, and cruising. Conveniently located in Baltimore's Inner Harbor the DSC docks at 1407 Key Highway are available for transient boats to take advantage of everything Baltimore has to offer! At Maryland Marina we have the facilities to store your boat in a number of different ways. For people who prefer to keep their boats in the water we have 360 slips rented yearly or for the season. Many slips have been recently dredged. For those who would rather keep their boat on land but either do not own a trailer or would rather not launch their boat themselves, we offer our Dry Sail option. The third major choice is storage on a trailer either for the year or for the season; either option gives unlimited access to our very accessible dual concrete ramp. Of course we offer land storage throughout the year as well as winter storage both on land and in the water; at any given time you can find almost 600 boats on trailers, cradles or in slips. With all of these options, boat owners will have access to free gate-accessed private parking, Wi-Fi, pump-out, water and electricity as well as all of the marina facilities such as climate controlled bathrooms, showers with private dressing rooms and laundry room. Slips located in the basin can accommodate boats up to 42′. Larger boats are welcome to reserve some of our slips that are on the approach to the marina. Maximum draft in the slips closest to the entrance is about 8′. Slips near the end of the harbor can only accommodate about 3′ draft. We reserve a few slips in front of the shop for access to boats which are being worked on. We have restrooms and showers which were renovated in 2014 available for our slip guests. The property does have a fence and gates which are locked when necessary. There is a water hookup at least at every other slip. We do shut off the water before the first freeze of the season to protect our plumbing. We try to get the water running again when the threat of freezing is over. There are specific parking areas. The St Michael’s harbor is well protected from the South and West. Less so from the North and East. Very crowded in the summer, especially on weekends and anchor spots in the harbor fill up quickly making it tight. And alternative is to anchor in the river on either side of the marked channel to the harbor entrance. The dinghy dock is located at the marked harbor position, right next to the Crab Claw restaurant. It is comprised of two floating docks in excellent condition and is free.
