AnyApp Data for internet access
Whenever you need access to the internet, switch over to pre-paid data. Simply turn on AnyApp Data in the PredictWind Offshore App and you’re good to go!
Pre-purchase an AnyApp Data bundle on the PredictWind Satellite Portal.
Using AnyApp Data
When AnyApp Data is activated, the PredictWind firewall is opened for one hour, giving you internet access. During this time it is important to understand the following points:
- The PredictWind firewall is opened for one hour, and then automatically closed.
- All data will be charged including PredictWind data. Avoid using PredictWind services during this time.
- AnyApp Data must be pre-paid. Data rolls over month to month if not used. If you cancel the SIM card, the AnyApp Data balance cannot be transferred or refunded.
- Once your pre-paid data is used, AnyApp Data will switch off to prevent any overages.
- If you need to top up while offshore contact support@predictwind.com. Top up transactions are not immediate so we recommend doing so prior to departure.
How does it compare to the GO! Unlimited plan?
The PredictWind Plan is only available on the GO! exec®. It allows you to do everything that you can do on the Iridium GO! Unlimited Plan, but with 40 times faster download speeds (88kbit/s). This extra speed is a game changer, as the Iridium GO! can only download at 2.4 kbit/s.
