The Hard Yacht Club was founded in 1926 by boating enthusiasts on the occasion of the laying of the "Ostner" keel as the HSC Harder Yacht Club. The construction of its own jetty in 1975 and its own clubhouse in 1983 allowed the YCH to continually develop. As a permanent organizer of regattas, the YCH has also earned international recognition. The most recent highlight was the 2010 European Match Race Open and Women's Championships. The Yacht Club Bregenz marina offers protection against all winds for approximately 130 boats. Due to the layout of the dock, the port offers plenty of room for manoeuvres. In the harbour basin, there are two rigging buoys that can also be accessed by sailing. Access to the harbour entrance is east of the 74 sea mark.
