Michiel de Ruijterhaven

Marina in Zeeland
Marina in the center of Vlissingen The marina is an optimally protected base of operations for the approximately 90 permanent moorers and hundreds of transients who visit the port during the summer season. VHF channels Western Scheldt Mouth of the Western Scheldt: channel 14 (Central reporting center Vlissingen) Above Terneuzen to the Ossenisse flats: channel 3 (Central reporting post Terneuzen) Below Hansweert near the flats of Ossenisse: channel 65 (Central reporting post Hansweert) From Walsvoorden to Antwerp: channel 12 (Central reporting post Zandvliet) No matter how strong the wind blows in the Western Scheldt, once you arrive in the port, you will be overwhelmed by the peace and quiet of this sheltered location and can moor your boat in peace in a spacious box with a finger dock. Due to its central location, many activities are possible. Within walking distance, you are at the mall, the boulevard or the beach. You can also visit the Muzeeum, Leguana or the Cinema. Historic marina with permanent moorings, welcomes passers-by. Named after the naval hero who had his home port here. PLEASE NOTE: This port is located directly on the Western Scheldt and has large differences in water level. The port states: 'There are 2 thresholds at the entrance to the marina at a depth of -3.30 m NAP. This means that you often cannot get in or out of the harbour at low tide. In exceptional cases there can only be more than 1 meter of water above the thresholds.'
