About James City County Marina
37.22573° N, 76.77851° W Transient boaters may struggle to navigate the 12 foot vertical height bridges to enter the marina. The park ranger offers 87 octane ethanol free at new gas doc. Open slips are nice but missing 30Amp service on all but 6. Water is off during late Fall to Spring. Bathrooms and showers are closed off season. Large boats with 11' clearance should not attempt. Boats with drafts over 16" should stay in the center of Sandy Bay and marina entrance. Anchors or tie to bridges only. Tides are strong, making it difficult for boaters to maintain steerage. The Marina Store, on the ground floor, sells bagged ice, fresh bait and gear, marine batteries and other boating supplies, cold drinks, ice cream, vintage sweets, and souvenir items such as Marina-branded T-shirts, hats, and koozies. Daily hours for the Marina Store are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from October to April and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from May to September. Hampton Marine Service at 757-850-0709 or email hmsboats@aol.com.
