About Porto di Cala Spalmatore
Small and delightful Cala, hidden on the island of La Maddalena, in the north-eastern part of Sardinia. Sheltered by two massive promontories, it is characterized by shallow waters and splendid cream-colored sand with rosy-tinged rocks. It is one of the major attractions of the archipelago and national park. Note to the fishermen who in past centuries landed there to coat the boats with pitch, in the center of the cove there is a long pier, protected from the elements which is still today the safe mooring of many boats of various sizes.
