About Marina di Portoscuso
The Marina di Portoscuso is a charming port, a natural extension of the town of Portoscuso towards the sea. Located on the east coast of Sardinia, it is a very convenient starting point to visit the whole south-western area of the island. Its name, Portoscuso (hidden, sheltered port), identifies very well the qualities of the Marina: protected from the Island of Sant'Antioco in the South and from that of San Pietro in the South-West, the port is a very safe shelter with every sea. Easily accessible from Cagliari \ Elmas airport, it is certainly the best Marina to discover the wildest coast of the island. THE COUNTRY Suspended between the sea and the mountains, the town has two points of reference: the Su Pranu tonnara and the Spanish tower from the 1500s. The tonnara, built in the 17th century and now a museum center, was the spark that transformed a small fishing village in the country we know now.
