Advance notice (prévenance) required. Spread over an area of over 10 ha , protected by a 770 m long granite block breakwater, this port has a major asset. On the Normandy coast, where the tides impose their schedules on sailors, it is accessible 16 hours a day, while the door openings of the municipal port are reduced to just over 5 hours per tide. Port-Deauville includes a locked basin, a floating basin and a tidal basin. Since 2010, most of its infrastructure has been renovated: pontoons, catways (floating wharfs) and electrical terminals have been renovated, a settling tank meeting new ecological standards is operational. Pivotal of the port activity, the shipyard is equipped with the most important lifting crane for boats in Lower Normandy, able to crane boats of 40 tons. Autonomous, on his own, he regularly employs around fifteen companies.
