About Heriot Bay harbour
Heriot Bay is located on the east coast of Quadra Island, facing the dramatic coastal mountains on the mainland. It is the port of departure for the regular ferry service to Cortes Island. It is also the gateway for the north end of Quadra Island which includes, Granite Bay, Bold Point, Surge Narrows, Walcan, Main Lakes Chain, Open Bay, Village Bay Lake and many of the hiking trails that criss-cross the upper end of the island. Services available in the Heriot Bay village include, groceries, accommodations, a campground, liquor, a post office, marine gas and diesel, propane, art galleries, marine mechanics, cafés, restaurants, hair stylists, and a pub.
