This charming marina was once known as Matthews Point Marina and has been run by the Matthews family since the 1950s. The business will always be family-run. Our destination, which is located in one of the most picturesque and easily accessible parts of the Neuse River, will continue to offer the same laid-back vibe and excellent level of care under the new name Bishop's Marina & RV Park. Having been enthusiastic boaters and having worked in the hospitality industry, Captain Christopher Bishop and his wife Sharon Bishop bought the property in February 2022 in order to realize a longstanding desire of having a career doing what they love and to take advantage of the companionship of other seafarers. GPS COORDINATES 34°54'22"N 76°45'48"W On the south side of the Neuse River, Bishop's Marina is situated about 4 nautical miles west of Adam's Creek and the Intracoastal Waterway. Seek out Green Day Mark #1, which marks Clubfoot Creek's entrance. The approach is located in the middle of the defined channel, seven feet deep. To avoid the shoaling regions close to the coast, keep east of Red Marker 8. Please follow the channel markers to the buoys marking the entry to Bishop's Marina rather than cutting the corner close to the marina point. Marine Protected Nursery Areas encircle the soft mud docks where Clubfoot Creek and Mitchell Creek converge. Please contact ahead to check availability since we have limited temporary space.
