About Ventura West Marina
Experience the vibrant community of our two Ventura Marinas nestled in beautiful Ventura Harbor located just 30 miles south of Santa Barbara and 65 miles north of Los Angeles. Surrounded on one side by miles of pristine beach front and the other, open fields of beautiful farmland and the backdrop of the San Ynez mountains, the setting for our boaters couldn’t be more idyllic. Remodeled in 2010, our full service facilities offer a total of 554 slips and include state of the art restrooms, spacious laundry room, work out room and the friendliest staff around whose number one goal is to make your boating experience a positive one. 392 single concrete slips are located on the east end of the harbor next to our main office facilities and the western side offers 162 single wooden dock slips just 500 feet from the ocean! Once you’re here, you’ll take a step back in time with the areas slower pace of life and the incredible location that includes easy access to Surfer’s Knoll and Harbor Cove Beach. Also within walking distance is Harbor Village which offers a variety of quaint restaurants and shops. Many folks spend their entire weekend without ever using their car! A voyage of less than 18 miles lands you at the Channel Islands - five islands of idyllic protected national parkland awaiting your adventurous spirit. Paradise Cove and Catalina are two other common destinations our boaters regularly visit. Ventura West Marina, your gateway to the Channel Islands and a destination you won’t soon forget! To reach us by land use the handy Google Map directions on the right of this page. Our little piece of paradise is conveniently located minutes away from the 101 freeway just 1/2 hour south of Santa Barbara and an hour north of Los Angeles. To reach us by sea, enter or exit only via the main entrance, between the two jetties. Entrance Buoy "2VU" is located approximately 1/2 mile off the entrance. The prudent skipper always keeps the buoy to the starboard when entering. After entering the harbor, bear right at the Channel Islands National Park Service Center building. Phase 2 (west) is located immediately past this building to the right. To access Phase 1 (east), continue into the Harbor, turn left at the fareway.
