About Aurora Harbor
Aurora Harbor is the largest harbor in the Juneau Harbors system, located about a mile north of downtown Juneau. Downtown Juneau has several facilities, including grocery stores, restaurants, shopping centers, coffee shops with wifi, a library with public computers, a post office, and public transportation. Aurora Harbor offers 449 slips with many of them having access to electricity (20 amp, 30 amp, or 50 amp) and water. The Aurora Harbor Office is located at the South end of Aurora Harbor while the Juneau Yacht Club is situated at the North end of Aurora Harbor. You can find shower and self-service laundry facilities half a mile from the Aurora Harbor Office. However, please note that the Aurora Harbor Office does not accept mail or packages for patrons due to liability issues. Transient moorage is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can either call the Aurora Harbor Office or hail on channel 73 when your vessel reaches the Gastineau Channel. Please keep in mind that vessels need to pass under the Douglas Bridge to access Aurora Harbor. The Aurora Harbor Office is open from Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, they are typically closed from 12:00 to 1:00 pm for lunch. If you want to reserve moorage, please call (907) 586-5720. Here's the harbor location if you need it: Lat 58 degrees 18.18 N Log 134 degrees 25.58 W.
