About Thornham Marina
Our small, friendly boat marina offers all the facilities and services you may need for easy berthing or boat storage on the south coast. We are constantly investing in and improving the site, whilst retaining the traditional marina ambience. Visiting Thornham Marina by boat Marina pontoon berth access: Access to the marina berths is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours either side of high water, depending on your boat’s draft and if it is spring or neap tides. Our berths drying depth varies between 2.8m to 3.1m above chart datum. For example, a 1.2m draft boat will need a minimum of 4.3m tide and can access the berths at least 1.5 hours before/after high water. Deep water basin access: We maintain a depth of 1.75m inside the pool. To come into the pool we can lower the gate on a 4.2m tide or above, 20 minutes either side of high water. The sill dries at 3.1m above chart datum. For example, if you are coming in to the pool and draw 1.5m you will need a 4.6m tide to enter. If you are bringing your boat up to Thornham Marina, please check the tide tables first. Alternatively, please call us on 02392 706 603 for advice and to check the gate opening times for a particular day.
