About Hayle Harbour

Hayle Harbour is a versatile port located on the North Coast of Cornwall, offering a great location for leisure and commercial vessels. It is an ideal base for exploring nearby sailing destinations like Padstow and the Isles of Scilly. The harbour accommodates a wide variety of craft, including small punts, motor cruisers, and sailing yachts up to 15 metres in length. The harbour provides moorings suitable for vessels from small punts to large schooners (up to 22 tons). Penpol moorings are available for vessels under 6 metres and currently have no waiting list. Wall moorings are for vessels 6 metres and longer; however, these have waiting lists. Moorings are allocated by the Harbour Master and may be subject to change at their discretion. Being a drying harbour, Hayle is less suitable for single keel yachts that cannot rest safely on the seabed at low tide. The main slipway is located in front of the Harbour Office on North Quay and is open to the public. Use is subject to payment and harbour terms and conditions. A pontoon is often installed near the slipway during summer months to facilitate launching and recovery. Dry berthing is available at several harbour locations and books up quickly, especially in winter. Early booking is recommended. Fuel is available approximately 100 metres from the Harbour Office. Parking for mooring holders is usually available on the quay close to their vessel. Hayle Harbour welcomes various leisure vessels, including sailing boats, motor cruisers, and dive teams from around the UK. It is an excellent starting point for exploring the northern Cornwall coast and beyond.
