Jachtvereniging Watervrienden (Schoteroog)

The Jachtvereniging Watervrrend is located and 2 locations. One of the locations is located in the beautiful Haarlemmerliede recreation area (Penningsveer Marina) and the other location is located opposite Schoterbrug and Spaarne (Schoeroog Marina). Schoteroog marina. The marina is located on an old estate, which recently acquired the status of a municipal monument. Schoteroog has approximately 29 berths in the water, the site is also primarily used for winter storage. The Schoteroog site offers space for approximately 120 boats. The boats are in sheerlegs that the association makes available. There are also opportunities on-site to renovate boats during the summer season or to restore a boat in the equipment shed. For smaller boats, such as open boats or sloops, covered space is available at 'De Koeienstal' in the winter months. Schoteroog's supervisor lives on the site of the old farm. Next to the farm, there are toilets and a shower and the JVW bar. This is served by volunteers from the bar on weekends during the winter months. Schoteroog is located near Schoterbrug. Crossing the bridge you reach the Spaarndamseweg, where you can catch a bus in no time in the middle of the beautiful centre of Haarlem. There are supermarkets nearby and it is (albeit a little more on foot) within walking and cycling distance of the Cronje shopping centre and Marsmanplein.
