Jachtvereniging Watervrienden (Penningsveer)

The Jachtvereniging Watervrrend is found in 2 locations. One of the locations is located in the beautiful Haarlemmerliede recreation area (Penningsveer Marina) and the other location is located opposite the Schoterbrug in Spaarne (Schoeroog Marina). Passersby can spend the night in both places. The marinas offer passersby: Drinking water showers Toilets Dumpster Free WiFi (password on request) symbolic spring Penningsveer Marina accommodates approximately 100 boats on the water. There is also space ashore for open/racing boats and small motorboats on a trailer. Penningsveer is mainly used as a summer port. There is a beautiful clubhouse, there is an opportunity to shower and there are also electricity and drinking water facilities. Our supervisors live in the ark, located on the island. To get to the island from the shore, you must use a ferry that must be operated by hand. Surrounding Penningsveer is the Spaarnwoude Nature Reserve, where you can do various activities on foot and by bike. The idyllic village of Spaarndam is also within walking and cycling distance. Spaarndam has a good supermarket (Albert Heijn) and several good restaurants. In the other direction is the Waarderpolder industrial estate where the Haarlem-Spaarnwoude bus and train station is located, from here you can easily take the bus or train to Haarlem or Amsterdam. Ikea Haarlem is located next to the station.
