About Jachthaven de Stormvogel

“the storm bird” In 1976 the private marina “de Stormvogel” could be bought by the association. Since that time, “de Stormvogel” has functioned as a summer harbour for most members and is, therefore, an important stopping place. The harbour is beautifully situated on an island between the Ringvaart and Westeinderplassen. You can reach the harbour on the Ringvaart by rowing boat or by ferry. Canteen The meeting place on the island is the cozy canteen that is managed by the members. During the boating season, the canteen is open 7 days a week during the day. During the week the harbour master provides coffee or tea and at the weekend volunteers take care of the canteen, which is often open in the evenings. Because many members work on their boats in winter, the canteen is also open (to a limited extent) in winter. Berths There are 150 berths. Most ships are berthed in boxes on the main jetties and on the jetties behind the hangar. There are also berths at the so-called 'central land', which is used jointly. There are a number of picnic tables and a barbecue. Even setting up a tent for the children is possible. Wi-Fi is available on all berths and they are equipped with electricity. Water taps are a short distance away. To prevent legionella, you must use your own water hose. plumbing Directly next to the canteen is the access to the sanitary area. There are sufficient toilets, washbasins and showers. There is also a baby room, washing machine, dryer, iron and board. Showering is done with coins of 50 cents. The use of the washing machine costs 3 euros including detergent and drying costs € 2.00. Coins and detergents are available in the canteen or at the harbormaster. The availability of the harbormaster depends on the season. First Aid – AED A first aid kit and an AED are located at the harbor master's office. Shed A number of smaller ships can be stored in the boat shed in winter. They are lifted in and out of the water by their own crane. The boats are cleaned with a powerful high-pressure sprayer. During the sailing season, the shed is used as an “activity center”. There is a table tennis table, children can play in bad weather, meetings are held, parties are organized and meals are served. Workplace Members can go to the workshop to do odd jobs. Various tools and machines can be used. Cleaning up after use of the workshop is of course the intention. Playground For the little ones there is a playground with a trampoline, a climbing rope and other play equipment. Accessibility The address for your route planner is Leimuiderdijk 123, Rijsenhout. Driving on the A4 without a route planner, you leave the highway at exit 4 in the direction of Leimuiden. After 1 km before the Leimuider bridge, turn left until grand café de Parel (100 m). There turn right to the water. Immediately left again (water on your right). After about 3.6 km you will see the Stormvogel on the other side of the water. Parking is possible in the parking lot or along the road on the verge on the side of the meadow. You reach the other side by rowing boat. Is there none? Then press the button on the reporting station. Please note: after a certain time the ferry does not sail. The current times are on the reporting pole.
