Alkmaardermeer

The Woodhaven is a recreational harbour on the eastern edge of the Alkaardermeer, near De Woude. The harbour is located on the western and eastern banks of the Markervaart. The facilities consist of a grassy dock on the east bank and a jetty system on the west bank, which is located on an island. There is a drinking water intake and wastewater station on the island and a snack bar on the roadside. The Woodhaven is located on the N246 and there is a large parking lot with a slipway located directly next to it. On the northern edge of the Woodhaven, the Markervaart flows into the Noordhollandsch Kanaal.
