About Port de Pasaia
Located in the center of the Bay of Biscay, 15 kilometers from the French border and directly connected to the Atlantic Corridor of the Trans-European Transport Network (Ten-T), the Port of Pasaia has become an essential instrument for the development of the industry, commerce and tourism in its radius of influence. Its rail and land connections make it especially recommended for SSS (Short Sea Shipping). Three regular lines of RO-RO vessels link the port with the European Atlantic Arc, the gateway to the common economic market. Agility, dynamism, efficiency and safety are the pillars that support the activity of this port; its primary objective is to offer security to its customers; a security based on the agility of its services, the reduction of the average stay and practically zero incidents in the handling of goods. But in addition, Pasaia offers great potential for cruise stopovers in the Cantabrian Sea , due to its proximity to the most visited places in Aquitaine and Euskadi and for its excellent communications with other regions both by road, through the Lisbon-Madrid European axis. -Paris, as airlines, with 5 airports within an approximate radius of 100 kilometres: Hondarribia (Gipuzkoa), Biarritz (Aquitaine; France), Loiu (Bizkaia), Noain (Navarra) and Foronda (Araba). Lastly, for the port of Pasaia, coexistence with its surroundings is absolutely vital since together we will be able to adapt the infrastructures, adapt the services to new traffic and, above all, make port activity compatible with the urban environment.
