In the alignment dividing the Atlantic from the Sado Estuary, you’ll find one of the World’s Most Beautiful Bays – the Bay of Setúbal. Known for its resident population bottlenose dolphins, the bay is an idyllic location for sailing and windsurfing. Troia Marina has 180 berths, where you can rent a boat to discover deserted beaches in the company of dolphins. Look for buoy No. 2 and then navigate on the heading of the entrance (Azimuth=040) for about 3 miles to the Outão fort.

At night, when approaching the backshore, and all the way until swinging towards the channel leading to Tróia, keep on the previous heading – (formed by Doca and Azeda lighthouses).

After buoy No. 4 the channel widens slightly, but keep on the heading.

Pass the Outão lighthouse, then passing by buoy No. 5 you see TROIA RESORT on the starboard side, by the Ponta do Adoxe.

Sail half a mile past buoy No.5 further along the entry lane. Turn starboard, keeping a safe distance from land.

On the starboard side, the TROIA MARINA is marked with Starboard (EB) and Portside (BB).

After entering the marina, moor alongside the reception and fuel dock to starboard.

The Marina of Clube Naval de Sesimbra, was a dream of many generations, an old aspiration of Clube Naval and Vila de Sesimbra. Fundamental equipment for the development of Tourism and Recreational Boating, not only in the summer, but throughout the year, it should be noted that around 40,000 recreational vessels pass through the Cape Espichel, heading south, so, if at least 5% of these vessels came to Sesimbra (some are already becoming regular customers), the village will experience an increase of a few thousand tourists. In addition to the advantages of tourism and economics that this infrastructure has been providing, the jobs that were created, directly and indirectly, should not be forgotten, which constituted a significant added value for the dynamization of the economy and for the creation employment in the county.

The construction works for the Port of Recreio de Sesimbra, started on December 4, 1997, and the authorization of the work by the Port Administration of Setúbal and Sesimbra (APSS) was decisive. The first phase, the work budgeted at about 160 thousand escudos, had the support of the City Council of Sesimbra and the contributions of the members of the Clube Naval. The construction work was carried out by Ahslers Lindley Lda., A company specialized in the construction of recreational ports and marinas, according to the project.

NAUTICAL RECREATION UNDER DEVELOPMENT IN THE SADO ESTUARY

The Fontainhas Recreation Dock in the Port of Setúbal provides shelter for around 320 vessels, including places for passing vessels, with modern support infrastructures, which include water supply, electricity, fire extinguishers, sanitary facilities with changing rooms, collection of garbage and restricted access.

It is divided into East Side, with 170 seats, up to 10 meters long and 2.5 meters maximum draft, and West Side, with 150 seats, up to 15 meters long and 2.5 meters maximum draft. The dock also has a privileged space for the parking of traditional boats from the Sado Estuary, with the aim of promoting tourist tours along the river.

Downstream of this area is the Clube Naval Setubalense Dock, which accommodates 29 recreational boats, between 6 and 11 meters, and onshore parking for 24 boats, between 4 and 12 meters, allowing users to enjoy the infrastructure. Support facilities and the practice of various water sports, swimming, sailing, canoeing, among other modalities.

To support the tourist development of the Troia Peninsula on the estuary of the river Sado, the Troia Marina is available, with a capacity for 184 pleasure boats, distributed among five length classes, between 6 and 18 meters, and a maximum draft of 4 meters.
There are also 4 summer berths in the Port of Setúbal for parking recreational boats, in the areas of Toca do Pai Lopes, Esguelha, Outão and Soltróia, with capacity for 80, 73, 39 and 89 boats, respectively.

For the future, APSS and the Municipality of Setúbal are developing a market and economic feasibility study to create all the conditions to launch a tender for the design and operation of the future Setúbal Marina, with an estimated capacity of between 5 and 8 hundred recreational boats, which already has its location defined in the area of ​​Club Naval Setubalense.

Oeiras Marina – Your Lisbon yachting harbour host, in the Atlantic Coast

Oeiras Marina is located 20km away from Lisbon, 25km away from Lisbon Airport, in a nice village called Oeiras. Cascais, the well-know touristic village, is 10km away, and Sintra, World Heritage, is 15km away.

This attractive and interesting town lies just 12km west of Lisbon. The marina here offers an alternative to the crowded berthing in the city itself.

 

Approach

The harbour entrance is nearly situated at 0,5 miles, on the east side of S. Julião beacon (0c R 5s), with a range of 14 miles, placed on a grey prismatic tower with red dome, 41 meters high.

This is a small purpose built marina with excellent facilities, including ATM, small chandlery, gaz and fuel. The bars, restaurants and shops are just a few feet from the boats. Wifi, internet terminal in marina office. 15 minute walk to the town. Many small repairs can be carried out by dedicated marina staff. Use of swimming pool and supermarket shuttle included in price.

A charming yachting harbour located at the mouth of the River Tagus, Oeiras port can accommodate 284 boats up to 25 metres in length. The team at the port offer 24 hour surveillance and services including anchorage assistance, fuel provisions, general amenities and a dry dock for up to 100 boats.

With a seawater swimming pool on one side and a 3km seafront promenade on the other, Oeiras port also has a selection of  restaurants, bars and nautical shops for sailors.

Situated inside the western jetty of the port of Peniche, the Marina da Ribeira has 140 berths for boats up to 15 metres in length and with draughts of less than 4 metres, 20 of which are reserved for transient moorages. Besides the usual facilities (pump-out facilities, washrooms, laundry service, fuel), it has both a ramp and a crane.

Because of its location on the Peniche peninsula, this marina not only provides shelter for those travelling between Europe and the Mediterranean, but is also situated in an area of great interest for tourists. A welcoming, nautical atmosphere can be felt in the various restaurants near the port, where the cuisine naturally reflects the influence of the sea.

Between 6 and 10 miles from the coast, directly opposite the peninsula, are the Berlengas, a nature reserve composed of islands, islets and rocks, with their own specific flora and fauna. This haven of emerald and turquoise waters can be visited by anchoring off on the south eastern side of the largest island, Berlenga Grande, the only place that has safe anchorages, marked by a lighthouse.

Marina de Vilamoura is situated in the old part of Faro District, on the Southern coast of Portugal. Faro District (Distrito de Faro in Portuguese) is located in the extreme South of Portugal, with Faro as its capital. 

Vilamoura Marina is recognised as a border entry point where immigration and customs formalities can be carried out for people arriving by boat.
Officially this is handled by the Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras (SEF) — Portugal’s immigration and border service. Vilamoura has a designated SEF presence for boats arriving from outside Portugal/Schengen.

If you are entering Portugal from international waters (outside the Schengen Area), you can clear immigration and customs in Vilamoura Marina.

Customs clearance
Reporting your vessel arrival to the authorities
Arrival Procedure (Typical for Ports of Entry)
On arrival, you generally:

A very friendly, beautiful, small marina, the staff was very helpful with mooring. Lovely Joanna helped us with renting a car, they even brought and picked the car up from the marina. You definitely need a car to visit the island. The little shop and bar in the marina is sympathetic. 
Excellent welcome from Joana and the marinheiros who help with the mooring, and a really nice atmosphere. With the Sail The World membership, there is a good discount. Sanitary facilities very good, all service impeccable. Sometimes a swell is entering the harbour even with no wind.

The recreational port of Viana do Castelo consists of two docks. One, located downstream of the Eiffel metal bridge, with 163 berths for vessels up to 20 meters in length and 3 meters of draft. This dock has water, electricity, toilets and changing rooms, supply of fuel, tidal grid and a ramp for hauling boats. 
The other, located upstream of the same bridge, has 144 moorings for smaller vessels.

The Port of Viana do Castelo operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, accommodating ships up to 180 meters in length and 8 meters in draft. It has a fully marked and illuminated navigation channel and is easily accessible via major road networks. It supports commercial, fishing, and industrial activities and offers integrated, sustainable services for its clients.

Located in the Atlantic Ocean, In Portugal the Marina Porto Atlântico is an association of Sailing clubs, founded in 25th October 1992 by the Clube Naval de Leça, Clube de Vela Atlântico and Sport Club do Porto. This association manages professionally, the place of the Leixões harbour destined for yachting. Besides the simple berth, power or sailing boats have access to series of complementary services, as crane, electricity, water, security, small repairs, toilets, etc.

The Marina da Póvoa de Varzim offers 241 berths for vessels up to 18 meters in length, with depths ranging from 1.6 to 3.0 meters. Additionally, it has four dedicated berths for yachts up to 18 meters with a minimum depth of 3 meters. When entering the port, it is advisable to keep a safe distance from the north breakwater due to possible breakers at its end and pay attention to the green buoys marking shallow waters near the breakwater.

Located on the right bank of the Douro River, 3 km from its mouth, Marina do Freixo seeks to serve all those who use this magnificent Douro River, whether for leisure, work, tourism, sport or simply contemplation.
 
Located in the foreground of the waters of this river, the Marina has a winch up to 10 tons, a water access ramp, space for 76 boats up to 16 meters in length, mooring for boats up to 100 meters, changing rooms with hot water, as well as a cafeteria and restaurant open to the public and technical support for all types of vessels. 
 
Its management is under the responsibility of Sport Club do Porto , a centenary public utility entity that has promoted the region and the country at sporting, competitive and social levels.

Marina Club Da Gafanha

The most famous marina in the Azores is one of the most visited ports in the world. Its privileged geographical position has been recognised for centuries. It is a well-established tradition that sailors that dock in Faial must leave a painting on the walls of the breakwater. Legend has it that sailors that do this will reach their destinations safely.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The city of Horta is located on the SE coast of the island of Faial. Tidal currents are strong in the Faial Channel.
The flood runs to N and the ebb pulls hard into the bay.
The marina is located inside the harbor which is protected by a breakwater with a lighthouse.
The main references are the lighthouse of Boa Viagem and the lighthouse of the jetty.
PROHIBITED
You enter the port by taking the Boa Viagem line through Igreja do Carmo, 285º, until the alignment of the harbor lighthouses (front and back); once inside the port you can see the marina jetty right in front.
There should be some protection at the entrance jetty in case the Pico ferry or fishermen are leaving the port.

Marina de Horta

The Angra Marina is located on the south side of Terceira Island, 50 meters from the center of the historic city of Angra do Heroísmo and within the Bay of this city which, since the 15th century, has been considered a “port of call of the western seas”, being mandatory stop for ships crossing the Atlantic.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Today, Marina d'Angra is surrounded by a UNESCO World Heritage City since 1983 for its architecture. The Marina has excellent top-of-the-range complementary services, which give the city a modern touch.

Next to the Marina there is a beach and, on the opposite side, you can discover the underwater archaeological parks of the city. To be in these parks is to immerse yourself in History: you will find a cemetery of anchors and even what remains of the Lidador shipwreck, a Portuguese ship from the 19th century. XIX.

Marina d'Angra has held the European Blue Flag since 2006.

PROHIBITED
Angra do Heroísmo is located on the south coast of Terceira Island. During the day, Monte Brasil is a reference. At night, if the approach is from W, the Monte Brasil lighthouse is only visible from the marking 057º. The marina is located in the eastern part of the bay protected by a breakwater.

The approach is made over the 342º line formed by the front and rear lighthouses of Angra do Heroísmo. After the lighthouse on the jetty has passed through the starboard beam, turn to starboard and head towards the entrance to the marina. The W anchorage near Baixa da Prainha can become dangerous and uncomfortable with the waves raised by the S and E winds.

Marina d'Angra

The Praia da Vitória Marina is located on the far eastern corner of Terceira Island, in the Archipelago of the Azores, at the coordinates 38º 43"N, 27º 03"W.

The marina is protected by the Northern and Southern jetties of the bay in the city of Praia da Vitória. After passing the jetties, visitors will view the sandy beaches of Prainha and Praia Grande and the seafront road, Avenida Beira-Mar.

The area is constituted by the largest sandy beach in the Azores and its natural harbour enables nautical sports to be practised, such as sailing, windsurfing, water ski, water bike, boat trips, sea fishing, underwater diving and whale watching.

Marina Praia da Vitoria

Located on the south coast of Terceira Island, the Port of Angra do Heroísmo serves as a gateway to the city at coordinates 38° 39′ 08” N, 027° 13′ 05” W.
A small port, with a charming marina integrated in a beautiful heritage city. It has two pleasant terraces, one of which belongs to a restaurant. It is in the works to increase the pier.

Navigating into the port is straightforward, with anchorage available south of the pier at depths of 10 to 30 meters.

Porto das Pipas is the local name for the main port of Angra do Heroísmo, located on the south coast of Terceira Island, Azores.
