About PORT OF ROATAN
The Port of Roatan is one of the two major ports of call in Roatan, Honduras. The port covers an area of about 6.5 acres and can accommodate up to three ships at a time. It is managed by Royal Caribbean and ITM Group, who are partners under a subsidiary. The port started operating in late 2008 and is located in the Town Center of Coxen Hole, which is the capital of Roatan, also known as "el pueblo" (the town). The Port of Roatan is the arrival point for Norwegian, Celebrity, and Royal Caribbean ships that visit Honduras. It can accommodate three cruise ships simultaneously, with one alongside and two in Anchorage. About 580 thousand passengers visit Roatan through the port every year, arriving at approximately 170 cruise ships that use Roatan as a port of call. The water depth at the port is around 12 meters (39 ft), and the port agent is Anacaribe, who has a long-standing tradition as the port agent for cruise lines calling the Port of Roatan. If you're visiting Roatan, make sure to get your passport stamped at the official passport stamp booth. Ensure it's an official immigration entry, or your passport may become invalid.
