Nearby Alternative Harbours Burkana Hafen: Operated by the local yachting club (WSVB). Similar access channel; robust facilities including diesel, water, showers, and a café. Limited guest berths Also nearby: main commercial protection harbour, used by workboats and the Feuerschiff museum . Safety & Nautical Tips Plan passages around tides—especially in shallow channels. Chart-datum depths are conservative; consider tide tables for safe clearance Use VHF Channel 17 (“Borkum Burkana Port Radio”) for contact Entering via the Seegaten Westerems or Hubertgat is standard; night entries or fresh/storm winds are risky
