About Capitainerie de Port Grimaud
Port-Grimaud is a lakeside town built on the edge of canals and lakes dug in the marshy lands of La Giscle where Athenapolis was said to be a Greek lakeside town. This city was designed by the architect François Spoerry who, in 1966, wanted to create a city where canals would replace the streets, and where each inhabitant would have a boat moored in front of his door. Port-Grimaud is made up of three ports: Port Grimaud, Marina de Port-Grimaud and Port-Grimaud II.
