About Gimli Harbour Authority
Welcome to the Gimli Harbour, on beautiful Lake Winnipeg, the 10th largest lake in the world. The harbour is the largest of its kind between Thunder Bay and the west coast of mainland British Columbia. The Gimli Harbour Authority manages, operates and maintains this “Class A” harbour on behalf of the Canadian Government's Department of Fishery and Oceans. This is a working harbour. It supports over 50 commercial fishing families engaged in the thriving Lake Winnipeg fishery. In addition, it offers safe berthing for up to 200 pleasure crafts, as well as a launch ramp, fuel and pump out services. It’s location in the lovely beach town of Gimli give seasonal and visiting boaters access to a wide array of services, many within walking distance, and community events and festivals.
