About Carnarvon Yacht Club
A very friendly atmosphere with brilliant outlook over the fascine good meals, good prices, cold beers and great service. One of the best places for a beer in Carnarvon. Located at 2 West Street, Carnarvon, Western Australia, the Carnarvon Yacht Club (CYC) nests along the fringe of the CBD by the picturesque Fascine Channel. The marina is accessed through the narrow Fascine Channel, which runs through the heart of the town. The club features a marina with 34 pens, boasting a secure, palm-tree-lined basin designed to withstand cyclones. It offers essential amenities such as water, electricity, showers, laundry, and a clubhouse. Visitors may anchor in the Fascine directly opposite the club if berths are full. The CYC is known for its vibrant, welcoming community. Locals often help run the bar, kitchen, gardens, and entertain visitors. A carnival-like atmosphere envelops the Fascine during the busy cruising season (April to October), with Friday-night BBQs and impromptu musical jams on the lawn being community highlights Community spirit helped construct the marina in two stages: the original 22 pens (completed around 2003) and an additional 12 by 2006—largely built through volunteer labor with federal grant support
