Bellerive Yacht Club
Marina in Tasmania
The Bellerive Yacht Club was established in 1926 to promote and encourage yachting, and to provide facilities for its members, which it continues to do. The club has grown to over 1000 members, with assets of over $3.5 million and an annual turnover of nearly $2 million.
With two bars, Anchors Restaurant, a marina, slipyard and ample parking the club provides superb facilities for members and guests. Improvements are continually being made to club facilities and the club prides itself on providing great facilities at competitive rates. Our marina holds 170 vessels and we are in the process of lodging a Development Application to increase the marina size to 270.
The club runs twilight sailing on Wednesday evenings during summer, Saturday racing throughout the summer season, and Sunday racing over winter. The club also runs the annual Banjos Shoreline Crown Series Regatta, in February, one of the largest regattas in Tasmania.
As well as sailing, the club provides an active social calendar.
The Bellerive Yacht Club is a family club, and partners and children are encouraged to participate in club events and activities.
Functions are a speciality of the Bellerive Yacht Club, providing facilities for weddings, dinners, cocktail parties, meetings and all special occasions. With a north westerly aspect the clubhouse not only provides fantastic views over the marina and bay, but is also positioned to benefit from the afternoon sun in both summer and winter.
