The official UN/Locode of this port is DZGHZ. +213 (0)43 46 97 25 Commercial, fishing and pleasure port. https://www.portdeghazaouet.com/page/presentation-et-histoire Ghazaouet or ''djemaa el ghazaouet'', formerly known as Nemours during French colonisation, is an Algerian town in the wilaya of Tlemcen, near the border with Morocco, located 72 km northwest of Tlemcen, 50 km north of Maghnia and 34 km as The crow flies east of the Moroccan city of Saïdia. It was the first fishing port in the country, built in 1846, in the form of a wooden pier. The Harbour of Ghazaouet is about thirty kilometres away as the crow flies east of the border between Algeria and Morocco and 45 kilometres from the Messali El-Hadj International Airport in Tlemcen. It is located at the bottom of a sandy cove with an opening of 1300 meters and a depth of 400 meters in the middle of which a small stream called Oued Ghazouanah emerges. The port is located at 35° 6' 00 North latitude and 1° 52' 21 West longitude.
