Thunderbird Marina has been in the same location on Lake Union since the 1920’s. Thunderbird Marina, with its Lake Union location and easy access to major highways, the Ballard Locks and Lake Washington, has been a prime location for boaters for nearly a century. This means the Marina was in operation when Gas Works Park, was a gasification plant. The Marina predates the Space Needle by 40 years!
