Welcome to Marina de Lagos! 2019 marks a special year for our marina. In July, Marina de Lagos celebrates its 25th anniversary! Throughout these years, that we remember with great joy and enthusiasm, we have been visited by about 40.000 boats and over 100.000 guests, coming from all continents and from over 100 different nationalities. Each guest, each story and each conquer are part of our memories and join us in this long journey When we designed this project and started the Marina de Lagos ‘adventure’, we dreamt of putting the main town of the Portuguese Discoveries back on the map and on international routes. Today this dream is reality! Marina de Lagos, distinguished with the Euromarina Anchor Award, the European Blue Flag, the Yacht Harbour Association’s 5 Gold Anchor Award and IMCI’s 5 Blue Star Marina, is proud of the comfort and safety of the facilities it offers, as well of the quality of the reception our staff will provide. Located on the Bay of Lagos, among the world’s best beaches and perfect sailing grounds, Marina de Lagos has the privilege of being right in the heart of the Discoveries’ home town. Welcome and enjoy an unforgettable stay. Please note that there is a pedestrian footbridge that must be retracted to enter the marina. Call on channel 9 to request the bridge be raised.

Vilamoura Marina

Marina de Vilamoura is situated in the old part of Faro District, on the Southern coast of Portugal. Faro District (Distrito de Faro in Portuguese) is located in the extreme South of Portugal, with Faro as its capital. Vilamoura Marina is recognised as a border entry point where immigration and customs formalities can be carried out for people arriving by boat. Officially this is handled by the Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras (SEF) — Portugal’s immigration and border service. Vilamoura has a designated SEF presence for boats arriving from outside Portugal/Schengen. If you are entering Portugal from international waters (outside the Schengen Area), you can clear immigration and customs in Vilamoura Marina. This includes: Passport control Customs clearance Reporting your vessel arrival to the authorities Arrival Procedure (Typical for Ports of Entry) On arrival, you generally: Contact marina reception for berth assignment and check-in. Notify or meet with SEF/immigration officers to complete border formalities. Complete any customs declarations if required. Even though Vilamoura Marina is smaller compared to major commercial seaports, its SEF designation means it is officially recognised for international arrivals by sea — much like other Portuguese marinas such as Lagos and Portimão

Situated on a sandy plain on the right bank of one of the largest navigable rivers, the Guadiana, next to its mouth, occupying the eastern end of the Algarve. It borders Ayamonte - Spain. Just a few minutes from the VRSAntónio Sports Complex - a great sports center - and 3 km from Monte Gordo Bay, its beaches and Casino. Faro and Seville airports are 50 and 150 km away, respectively, from this magnificent Recreational Port. The Guadiana River is navigable for another 20 miles upstream, offering picturesque points of attraction like Alcoutim, on the Portuguese side, or San Lucar del Guadiana, on the Spanish bank.
