The Hard Yacht Club was founded in 1926 by boating enthusiasts on the occasion of the laying of the "Ostner" keel as the HSC Harder Yacht Club. The construction of its own jetty in 1975 and its own clubhouse in 1983 allowed the YCH to continually develop.
