The Männedorf Port Cooperative was founded in 1976, construction of the facility began at the end of September 1981. The 154 (current) berths were available at the beginning of May 1982. The port of Weieren is located at the western entrance to the village from Männedorf on Seestrasse, just below the Weieren sewage treatment plant. Together with the Villa Alma park and the promontory to the west, the pier and the walkways, it forms one of the most beautiful green spaces in the Männedorf community. As the area is called Weieren, we also talk about the port of Weiren (there is also the Weiern variant).
