The Siikajoki Municipality maintains and manages the Tauvo Marina. The ports have landing ramps, cold water, ice machines and dry toilets. Tauvo is a popular place to visit in summer with its sand dunes and opportunities for swimming and surfing. In spring and fall, the abundance of migratory birds invites bird enthusiasts to the area.
