Musgrave Harbour is accessible from the Trans Canada Highway from Gambo on Route 320 or Gander Route 330. Originally named Muddy Hole when first settled in 1834, was renamed to Musgrave Harbour in 1886 in honor of Governor Anthony Musgrave. Musgrave is known for it's 7 km of fine white sandy beach that stretches along the coast line from the Fishermen's Museum to The Banting Memorial Municipal Park. Whether you are looking for a place to stay, have some fun or relax on our beautiful sandy beach, you are sure to find what you are looking for in this Town of approximately 900. There are many attractions to accommodate visitors of a diverse background. For those who love salmon fishing, Ragged Harbour River and Anchor Brook are only minutes away. Other activities such as beach combing, berry picking, camping, whale and iceberg watching, snowmobiling, and ice fishing are just to name a few. Royal Newfoundland Yacht Club

Non-member boats are welcome visitors at the RNYC. In order to accommodate the differing needs and requirements of local versus international voyagers boats visiting RNYC are classified into two categories: Visiting Boats* – Boats originating from within the Province. Transient Boats – Boats originating from outside the province (ocean going yachts) *Non-member personal water crafts are not considered visiting boats and are not permitted to dock at the RNYC marina or channel quay. Visiting and transient yachts are required to register and endorse a usage wavier. The RNYC Marina has berths for 133 yachts. Main docks are fixed pile with side-on or end-on berths; some with catwalks. All berths have access to fresh water and power. Call or email to confirm availability. Dockside electrical service is provided in amperages of 15, 20, 30, and 50. Rates for electrical service are based on amperage and length of stay. Gasoline and diesel refueling is available whenever the Clubhouse is open. Pumps are located at the end of the channel quay. To obtain keys and paperwork go to the Club or contact the Yard Master RNYC offers seasonal and extended boat storage to members and visiting boats. Boat owners are permitted access for refit and repair work. Several local companies provide on-site services and supply. Extended berthage or storage is offered to accommodate cruising plans. The RNYC travel lift has a capacity of up to 50 tons. Boats are lifted for seasonal or extended storage, cleaning, refit, and repair. Boats with suitable cradles are shunted by means of a lifting dolly and tractor. Contact the General Manager for rates and availability of lift services. The hydraulic crane located on the quay adjacent to the entrance channel is used to install and remove spars and rigging and lifting of engines and equipment. Spars must be removed for winter storage due to icing and wind conditions. Maximum Stay: The maximum length of a stay for a visiting boat is 14 days within a 28-day period. The first day of a stay is the first day of the 28 days allowed (1/28). The maximum stay allowed may be adjusted under extenuating circumstances at the discretion of the executive. Maximum Stay - Transient Boats There is no maximum stay for transient boats.
