Right next to the Smultrongrund guest harbor is the service harbor Pietarsaari Old Harbor. A 2-meter fairway leads to the port. Andra sjöns småbåtshamn

Nykarleby is a nice, authentic little town worth walking to. You can walk along the old embankment, as an alternative to the climb. The pier is deep and with a deeper long distance boat you can stay there and disembark at Andra Sjön with a boat.
